At VIVIABAG, we believe a beautiful bag shouldn't come at the expense of animals. That's why the large majority of our collection is made from vegan (animal-free) leather, a practical and elegant alternative to animal hide.

Our Vegan Leather

Our vegan leather is primarily made from polyurethane (PU) applied to a textile backing. It is designed to reproduce the look and feel of traditional leather, while being lighter and easier to care for.

In everyday use, this material is:

Durable for regular daily use, with a smooth and consistent finish
Easy to maintain - most marks can be wiped away with a soft, damp cloth
Water-resistant, so it handles light rain and splashes (it is not fully waterproof)
Free of animal-derived leather

Because it is not animal hide, the color and grain stay uniform from one bag to the next.

Our Vegan Suede

Some of our bags are made from vegan suede (also called faux suede or microsuede) instead of smooth vegan leather. It is a soft synthetic microfiber that reproduces the napped, velvety texture and matte look of traditional suede, while containing no animal-derived materials.

In everyday use, this material is:

Soft and lightweight, with a warm, matte suede-like finish
Animal-free - no genuine suede or animal hide is used
Easy to spot-clean with a soft, dry brush or cloth

Because vegan suede has a napped surface, we recommend keeping it away from water and heavy stains, and brushing it gently to keep its texture looking its best. Whenever a bag is made from vegan suede rather than vegan leather, it is clearly stated in the product title and description.

How We Describe Our Products

We describe every material as accurately as we can. If a product is made from vegan leather, we call it vegan leather; if it contains genuine leather, we say so. We avoid vague or exaggerated claims so you can shop with full confidence.

Caring for Your Bag

Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals and solvents.
Let the bag air-dry naturally, away from direct heat.
Store it in a cool, dry place, ideally in a dust bag, and avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
